The first layer of your new home is The Labyrinth, designed to be a fun maze for you to navigate as you acclimate to your new environment and shed your <#!£]!$# #09€$ @] ]&€@/$, the bright fluorescent lights, sterile yellow walls, and constant buzzing noise will overwhelm your childish mind and make your fears and worries of this place disappear completely.1. Panic- you must NOT be calm in The Labyrinth. The walls can hear your heart beat and will close in if it isn’t fast enough.2. Forget everything- The Everything Manual will record the memories that matter, and the rest will be too heavy for you to carry through the Labyrinth. Leave them at the door.3. Trauma has no place here- do not speak about your past, or the feeling that you’re missing something. You wouldn’t want to upset your playmates, would you?

Find the slide and you'll escape the treacherous fun of The Labyrinth and find a mystical paradise of bottomless ball pits, merry go rounds that do not slow down, and slides. This is The Playroom and there are rules to follow here too.4. DO NOT CLIMB UP THE SLIDES!- You never know where you could end up or what

If you sink low enough in the ball pits you’ll find the plastic spheres turn to piles of leaves and needles from tall Oak Trees and Douglas Firs. Need a place to lurk and stomp? The Timber may be the perfect place for you. A single lamp post lights the place.7. DO NOT travel past that light’s borders and into the darkness- it is still under maintenance and you may fall right back where you started... or you might spontaneously combust-... we're still working out the kinks...

Through all these layers you may have heard a call… and should you have looked up at The Timber’s sky, you’d have seen the sky isn’t sky at all… but a deeper, darker, near black and starless stretch of nothingness… but… truthfully… everything is there… every creature in this place was left behind before they came here… and there in the inky black watery sky, lives your new Mother… to get to her you’ll see a rope ladder hanging above the lamppost, climb it to the pirate ship it hangs from and you will meet her in the water below…8. Call her Mother- she is your Mother, you must address her as such.9. Listen to Mother- she gives good advice, and you could use some.10. If I disappear, listen to A.N.I.E- A.N.I.E and her bugs were created to answer your questions. Ask them anything, they are trained on this very book and will be your guiding light in my absence.11.
